This succulent grows really well in sunny to partially sunny areas in regions that rarely freeze. Its fat, shiny, oval leaves are visually entrancing, and it has a woody stem that can be trimmed into a variety of shapes. Several jade plants next to each other along an edge or path can create a nice ankle- to knee-high border.
